RISE NI in Our Nursery

RISE NI (Regional Integrated Support for Education in Northern Ireland) is a Department of Education initiative designed to support young children by strengthening early years practice, inclusion, and wellbeing. It brings together education and health professionals to provide guidance, programmes, and professional learning that help settings meet the needs of all children, particularly those who may need additional support.

In our nursery, we actively use RISE NI programmes and staff professional learning to reflect on and improve our everyday practice. This supports our team to build inclusive environments, strengthen relationships, and use evidence‑based approaches that enhance children’s learning, development, and emotional wellbeing.

Families are encouraged to use the website for lots of helpful guidance and practical information, including resources that can support children’s development at home. We value the partnership between home and nursery and see RISE NI as an important part of that shared support.
